Kinfolk, the AI-native HR workforce operations platform, today announces it has raised a $7.2M Seed round.

The investment was led by us at AlbionVC, with participation from PROfounders Capital, and existing investors Ascension and Emerge. Prominent angel investors, including Tony Jamous, Founder & Executive Chairman, OysterHR, also participated in the round.

HR and People Operations teams currently face a productivity crisis. Tasked with doing more with shrinking headcounts, while complexity and employee expectations rise, these teams are buried under repetitive questions, requests and manual administrative tasks. Outdated solutions like HR ticketing systems borrowed from IT have failed to solve this problem, while AI chatbots are too shallow to handle the operational workload, creating friction and turning HR into a bottleneck for productivity, speed and cost as companies scale.

Starting with HR and People Operations, Kinfolk creates a new category in Workforce Operations, replacing fragmented tools with a single, agentic AI platform. Unlike standard chatbots that simply retrieve answers, Kinfolk’s AI agents are capable of autonomous execution. They handle complex employee operations workflows across systems such as drafting documents, updating HRIS records, and managing employee lifecycle changes directly within Slack or Microsoft Teams.

Jeet Mukerji, Co-founder and CEO of Kinfolk, said: “HR teams are stuck in a cycle of manual admin and legacy tools are failing them. They are forced to choose between clunky ticketing systems that employees hate, or basic chatbots that can’t actually get work done. We built Kinfolk to break this cycle. By shifting from manual coordination to autonomous execution, we let HR teams scale their operations and focus on the strategic work that actually drives company growth. We’re excited to give People teams the operating system they deserve, one that actually performs work instead of just managing it.”

The shift from manual coordination to autonomous execution allows HR teams to scale operations, maintain control, and support growth without adding headcount. This approach has driven rapid adoption, with Kinfolk achieving 5x annual recurring revenue growth in 2025.

Leading modern teams at Deliveroo, Hudl and RetailNext use Kinfolk to streamline operations. Customers have either displaced or augmented traditional IT ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Zendeck or Jira with Kinfolk. Notably, they report that Kinfolk autonomously handles up to 80% of Tier 0–1 employee requests, reclaiming approximately 45 days a year for HR teams.

Paul Lehair, Partner at AlbionVC, said: “We believe Kinfolk is set to become the backbone for the next generation of HR and workforce operation teams. Jeet and Kim are exceptional founders and bring deep experience from scaling AI products at Beamery. They have identified a massive opportunity to fix a legacy market dominated by outdated, rigid tools. The feedback from customers is that Kinfolk isn’t just another tool; it’s like adding a new, super-productive member to the team that allows them to  focus on what matters most. We are delighted to support them on this journey.”

This new investment brings Kinfolk’s total funding to date to $8.5M. The funds will be used to accelerate the development of Kinfolk’s agentic AI platform capabilities and expand its enterprise readiness. Additionally, the company plans to extend beyond core HR workflows to support close collaboration with payroll, IT, laying the foundations for a broader Workforce Operations platform  while scaling its go-to-market teams to meet surging demand.
