Paul Lehair
Partner
Overview
A former operator who brings a wealth of experience in tech to his role, Paul joined AlbionVC in 201 and focuses on enterprise software spanning the API economy, fintech, data/AI and B2B marketplaces.
The French Londoner was previously finance director at worldwide app Citymapper, having joined the company when it had fewer than 10 employees. Paul also previously worked in business operations at ticketing startup Viagogo. These experiences means that he understands the challenges founders face, and the importance of positive relationships with investors. Before moving to startups, Paul worked in M&G at Citigroup.
Paul holds a Dual Degree of Sciences from the London School of Economics and Po Paris.
Personal
Paul currently spends much of his non-work time attempting to keep up with his two young children. When he finds a spare moment, he is most likely to be found playing or watching football, going for a run, reading novels, or meditating in a quiet spot. Paul is also a travel-lover, and particularly enjoys exploring new areas of both his native France and Latvia – where his wife grew up – with his family.
I know how hard it is to scale a tech startup. Surrounding yourself with great partners is key to help you go through the startup rollercoaster: choosing your VC is like a marriage
